Jim Kurihara is a Northwest and Seattle native. He grew up in Portland and has lived and worked in the Seattle area most of his life. He graduated from the University of Washington in Engineering and has attended many art schools and workshops in the last 20 years where his artistic abilities has expanded into oil painting and drawing. He is now a freelance artist and works on his own art projects. Because of the freedom of freelancing, his creative life today is much more interesting since the diversity of the work is so great.
